Job Description & How to Apply Below
We are looking for a Business-focused sales leadership role owning strategic/named accounts within ICT distribution, with other major accounts assigned. Responsible for the full commercial lifecycle of these accounts — account planning, pipeline ownership, deal structuring and negotiation, and long-term relationship growth — in close coordination with presales, vendor management, and finance. This role is critical to driving sustainable revenue growth from Starlink's most strategically important customer relationships.
Accountability:
- Strategic Account Ownership & Growth
- Commercial Structuring & Deal Negotiation
- Customer Relationship Management
- Reporting & Forecasting
Responsibilities of Role:
- Own the end-to-end relationship with strategic accounts, including Ooredoo and other major accounts assigned, acting as the primary business point of contact.
- Develop and execute account growth plans, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across ICT distribution's vendor portfolio (Huawei, Supermicro, Legrand, Rittal, FABNET, HUBNETIX, Acer and other Brands).
- Build multi-year account roadmaps aligned to each customer's technology refresh cycles, budget planning, and strategic priorities.
- Lead commercial negotiations for complex deal structures, including leasing/financing models, managed services agreements, and multi-year framework contracts.
- Own and drive the sales pipeline for assigned strategic accounts, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely deal progression.
- Coordinate with presales/solution architects to translate customer requirements into compelling technical-commercial proposals.
- Prepare and present business cases, commercial proposals, and RFP/RFI responses in partnership with the presales team.
- Track and report on pipeline health, win/loss analysis, and revenue attainment against targets.
Commercial Structuring & Deal Support
- Structure and negotiate deal terms including financing/leasing models (e.g. operating vs. finance lease), residual/buyback value modelling, and managed services (L1/L2/L3) scope and pricing.
- Work closely with finance to align deal structures with margin, cash flow, and risk requirements.
- Ensure contracts, SLAs, and commercial terms are reviewed and aligned internally prior to customer sign-off.
- Act as the internal liaison between the customer, presales, vendor management, and finance teams to ensure alignment on deal execution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendor account teams to secure competitive pricing, incentives, and support for strategic deals.
- Escalate and resolve commercial or delivery issues affecting strategic accounts.
- Provide regular account status, pipeline, and revenue reports to senior management.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer industry developments (e.g. telecom, enterprise) to inform account strategy.
- Represent Starlink at customer meetings, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and industry events.
- Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses
- Flexible working hours and remote work options
- Collaborative and inclusive work environment
Required Skills &
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is an advantage.
- 8–12+ years of experience in B2B sales, strategic account management, or business development within ICT distribution, telecom, or enterprise technology.
- Proven track record owning large strategic/named accounts and closing complex, high-value, multi-year deals.
- Strong commercial acumen — experience structuring leasing/financing models, managed services contracts, and multi-year framework agreements.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
- Experience managing telecom operators or large enterprise accounts (e.g. Ooredoo or similar) is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience within vendor or ICT distribution business models (Huawei, networking/DC OEMs, or similar).
- Exposure to managed services (L1/L2/L3) commercial structuring and pricing.
- Existing relationships within Qatar's telecom and enterprise market.
