Telecom Sales Engineer

Our client is looking for a proactive and technically adept Telecom Sales Engineer to join their team, supporting clients in and around Bloemfontein
, Free State. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between our advanced telecommunications solutions and client needs. You will be responsible for understanding customer requirements, providing technical expertise during the sales process, and designing solutions that meet their specific connectivity and communication challenges. This hybrid role combines client-facing activities and on-site assessments with remote work for proposal development and technical documentation.

• Engage with prospective and existing clients to understand their telecommunications needs and business objectives.
• Develop and present customized technical solutions, demonstrating the value proposition of our offerings.
• Conduct technical feasibility studies and site surveys for proposed solutions.
• Prepare detailed technical proposals, quotations, and responses to RFPs/RFIs.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to achieve revenue targets.
• Provide technical support and product training to clients and internal teams.
• Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging telecommunications technologies.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during the pre-sales and post-sales phases.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, building strong relationships.

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role within the telecommunications industry.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, internet technologies, voice/data communication systems, and wireless solutions.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to build rapport with clients and understand their business needs.
• Proficiency in creating technical proposals and solution designs.
• Willingness to travel within the Bloemfontein region as required for client meetings and site assessments.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with CRM software is a plus.
