Job Description & How to Apply Below

I am currently recruiting for a Principal Analytical Development Scientist with a rapidly growing organization in the pharmaceutical industry. The focus of the role is within their manufacturing and R&D portfolio, specifically within the analytical team.

The successful candidate will be an expert analytical chemist and serve as the primary interface between the analytical team and clients. We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified analytical chemist with a background in client-facing roles within a GMP pharmaceutical environment. Strong competencies in client management and the ability to understand the work of scientists, make decisions, and operate autonomously are essential.

This position offers flexibility for remote work, and sponsorship options may be available.

A competitive salary, bonus structure, and benefits package will be offered, based on experience.

Responsibilities of the Principal Analytical Scientist
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of compounds, including drug substances, intermediates, and drug products.
  • Serve as the interface between external partners and the analytical team to deliver client projects.
  • Act as the analytical contact for all projects and contribute to team meetings, suggesting improvements where necessary.
  • Develop and validate new analytical methods for various projects.
  • Provide guidance on analytical challenges within the organization.
  • Mentor less experienced team members, aiding in the development of their capabilities.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D, QC, and QA groups to ensure the analytical work aligns with the chemistry at each development stage.
Experience required
  • PhD in Organic Chemistry, or a similar field in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Health Sciences.
  • At least 8 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry, specifically in Analytical Development.
  • Strong scientific knowledge and leadership skills.
  • Results-driven, team-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills.
