IntroductionThe Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), is hiring four Remediation and Redevelopment Project Managers (Hydrogeologist Entry and Senior) to provide geologic and hydrogeologic expertise and oversight for investigation and remediation of contamination sites. These positions may be headquartered in either Fitchburg, Milwaukee, Oshkosh, or Green Bay. If interested, please apply to all/any cities you may be interested in working in.

These are technical positions in which the incumbent must have a detailed knowledge of geology, hydrogeology, contaminant transport, chemistry, vapor intrusion, soil science, remedial system design, and biological processes in subsurface soil and groundwater environments. Specifically, this involves providing technical advice to responsible parties, their consultants, local government units and officials, and other staff in the region for actions taken to address soil and groundwater contamination at Leaking Underground Storage Tank, Environmental Repair Program, Brownfield Redevelopment, Spill, Abandoned Landfill, Dry Cleaner Program and hazardous waste remediation sites throughout the region.
These positions provide interpretation and implementation advice on the rules, regulations and guidance documents concerning environmental investigations and cleanups as well as brownfield redevelopment efforts. These positions will evaluate and approve work on complex sites, often having program-wide policy impacts.

Salary InformationFor the Entry level, the starting pay is $29.87 - $35.02 per hour ($62,129.60 - $72,841.60 annually).
For the Senior level, the starting pay is $32.45 - $37.08 per hour ($67,496.00 - $77,126.40 annually).
These positions are in Hydrogeologist Entry or Senior classification within Pay Schedule/Range 15‑04 and 15‑03 respectively. A 12‑month probation period may be required.
These positions are not represented by a collective bargaining unit. Pay on appointment will follow the provisions of the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan.
