Location: Chelmsford, Essex (REMOTE POSITION)

Salary: £27,000 - £40,000

Pebble Recruitment is working with a leading Ecological Consultancy seeking an Ecologist or Senior Ecologist to join their growing team around Chelmsford, Essex and surrounding areas. This consultancy is seeking Ecologists of all levels to join a new, exciting company with a Director who has a superb track record in growing companies. Our client is known for delivering high‑quality, sustainable solutions while supporting both clients around the Chelmsford and surrounding areas, as well as a real focus on employee well‑being. You’ll work closely with the ecology team on a range of projects, including protected species surveys, PEAs, and BNG assessments.

• Undertake protected species surveys
• Prepare tenders and fee proposals
• Produce technical reports (PEA, BNG, protected species)
• Manage small to medium projects (with support on larger ones)

• 3‑8 years’ industry experience
• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or similar
• At least one protected species licence (preferred)
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation
• CIEEM membership (advantageous)

• £27,000 - £40,000 DOE
• 23 days holiday + bank holidays (option to buy more)
