Sr. Federal Markets Account Manager (D.C. Area – Remote)
Join Solventum to manage federal accounts across the Defense Health Agency, Veterans Affairs, Indian Health Services, and other federal clients.
Base pay range: $160,284 – $195,903 per year.

Responsibilities- Foster enduring relationships with federal clients to drive growth in current and future program‑management efforts.
- Advise on strategic opportunity planning, including growth strategies and new initiatives across key government accounts (DoD, VA, CMS, IHS).
- Deliver actionable insights from federal projects to support organic growth and program expansion.
- Leverage cross‑functional internal networks—sales, marketing, technical, manufacturing, and engineering—to ensure program success and elevate customer satisfaction.
- Analyze evolving client needs and competitor offerings to inform short‑, mid‑, and long‑term strategic planning.
- Represent the organization at industry events and proactively engage stakeholders in the Washington, D.C. area to cultivate relationships and uncover new opportunities.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university with at least 4 years of relevant experience
* OR* High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 8 years of experience in operations within a private, public, government, or military environment. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience briefing Executive‑Level or General Officer personnel and compiling briefings and status reports.
- Must be able to pass a government background check for a position of Public Trust.
- Master’s degree with a business‑related concentration.
- Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in sourcing, government or defense contracts, federal regulations, and/or supplier/vendor management.
- Change management experience and ability to lead change effectively.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing methodology, procurement processes, and systems.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, influencing, and communication skills.
- Experience leading contract negotiations and team leadership.
- Advanced writing, computer, facilitation, and multitasking abilities.
- A proven results‑oriented mindset with process orientation.
- Remote within 50 miles of the D.C. Area; willing to travel in person as required.
- Up to 50% domestic travel.
- Relocation assistance not authorized.
