Overview

Harvard University Central Administration seeks a Program Manager, Risk and Compliance Services to maintain the Anonymous Reporting Hotline and support the Institutional Compliance Program and Institutional Risk Management program.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the University’s Anonymous Reporting Hotline, including prompt review and triage of incoming reports, outreach and follow‑up with university officials, oversight of case management, communication with reporters, maintaining system records, and producing reports.
  • Provide support to the Associate Director, Risk and Compliance Services by assisting with regulatory research, participating in meetings, and assisting with compliance assessments.
  • Support the Institutional Risk & Compliance Officer with the university‑wide risk assessment process.
  • Stay abreast of current events, applicable laws, regulations, and trends in the higher education risk and compliance landscape.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • 7+ years’ experience in a compliance or legal role and/or demonstrated experience in hotline operations or conducting investigations in a compliance, HR, or related setting.
  • Experience in a university or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong judgment and discretion handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to coordinate with a broad range of university officials and maintain timely follow‑up.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and data analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with hotline systems, case management platforms, or investigative processes.
  • Experience with Navex Ethics Point hotline software a plus.
  • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) or Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred but not required.
Work Schedule

This role follows a hybrid schedule, combining remote work with required in‑office days at the Cambridge, MA office. Occasional travel to other sites across the University is required.
