Overview

This role supports the mission to Share Christ – Love People by providing safety and security for staff, business visitors, and the general public while on the property of Joyce Meyer Ministries.

• Observe property activities via the camera system and document properly in daily log
• Greet employees and visitors as they arrive on Joyce Meyer Ministries’ property
• Ensure safety of the staff and visitors of Joyce Meyer Ministries by monitoring on-site activities to protect against safety threats
• Conduct patrols, building checks, investigations, crowd management, loss prevention duties, and first responder alerts
• Create and maintain security files and reports pertaining to contractor/business guest activity, deliveries, and all other visitor activity
• Notify the control room and front desk when visitors arrive and direct visitors to the appropriate location
• Monitor and respond to alarms

• 2 years job related experience
• Certification with Firearm, Tazer®, Oleoresin Capsicum Pepper Spray and all security equipment
• Possess a valid Driver’s license and be on call 24/7
• Computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment; including skills in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
• Good interpersonal skills to handle and deal with sensitive and confidential situations
• Ability to react quickly and responsibly under pressure
• Availability to maintain a flexible work schedule and report to work during inclement weather

• High School diploma or GED
• Obtain a Security Officer license and First Aid, CPR and AED Certification
