Position OverviewSession Leads are industry professionals who provide world‑class technical support to learners in their Nanodegree journey. You will meet students virtually on a weekly basis, lead group work, deliver short lectures, and answer technical questions. Students study approximately 10 hours a week on their own.
Responsibilities- Manage weekly checkpoint sessions according to Udacity guidelines.
- Coordinate between students and the Udacity Connect team.
- Report weekly attendance and observations on the Mentor dashboard.
- Explain program concepts to student groups when needed.
- Resolve technical questions raised during checkpoints.
- Communicate with students on the community platform.
Skills & Qualifications
- Fluency in English.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, core principles, critical security controls, risk evaluation, and attack vectors.
- Knowledge of GRC frameworks and ability to identify concerns, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of security engineering concepts, cryptography, security reviews, audits, and planning/designing secure architectures.
- Familiarity with designing secure network architectures, implementing Zero‑Trust models, building secure environments in Azure, and setting up SIEM systems.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Graduate from a Cybersecurity Nanodegree or similar program is a plus.
- Experience teaching technical concepts and public speaking.
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to lead a group of students.
- Student‑oriented mindset and focus on understanding their problems.
- Innovative and proactive approach to supporting students.
- Positive character, trusted by students, and able to build emotional ties.
- Existing technical network and experience in technical conversations.
- Flexibility to take this part‑time, external contractor role while remaining at current job.

Compensation varies by location, role, skill set, and experience. A reasonable range will be provided as required by local law.
