What You’ll Be Doing- Prepare and deliver high‑quality training as directed by the Regional Training Delivery Manager
- Design and deliver training aligned with Area, Regional and Force‑wide learning priorities
- Conduct delegate assessments in line with course objectives and learning outcomes
- Evaluate training delivery to support continuous improvement
- Support wider Learning and Development initiatives and projects
- Maintain personal operational competence and qualifications
- Participate in frontline duties when required (Police Officers only)
- Substantive in rank as a Police Constable
- A recognised training qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- An up‑to‑date mandatory training record (Police Officers only)
- Experience in training delivery
- Strong capability in training needs analysis, design and evaluation
- Confident facilitation and presentation skills
- A good understanding of Learning and Development best practice
- A1 Assessor qualification (or equivalent)
- CTLLS or an equivalent nationally recognised teaching qualification
- Experience in policing‑related operational roles or Learning and Development environments
Expected start date:
Autumn 2026
- Be a current or former Police Officer from a Home Office police force, Police Scotland or PSNI
- Be substantive in rank and have completed probation (transferees)
- Apply within five years of leaving policing and have been substantive in rank (re‑joiners)
- Have lived in the UK for the past three consecutive years
- Have no live misconduct warnings or performance issues
- Not be under investigation by another force
- Have no active CCJs, unmanaged IVAs or bankruptcy
- Not have been dismissed from a police force
