Senior Aviation Security Officer

You will be instrumental in ensuring compliance with stringent security regulations, conducting risk assessments, and enhancing the overall security posture of the organization.

• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive aviation security programs and procedures.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability analyses of security systems and operations.
• Ensure compliance with all national and international aviation security regulations (e.g., ICAO Annex 17, TBCSA).
• Oversee the implementation of security measures, including access control, screening protocols, and surveillance.
• Develop and deliver security training programs for staff, ensuring awareness and adherence to security protocols.
• Investigate security incidents, breaches, and potential threats, recommending and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
• Liaise with government security agencies, law enforcement, and other stakeholders on security matters.
• Develop and manage security budgets and resource allocation.
• Stay current with emerging security threats and technologies, and adapt security strategies accordingly.
• Prepare regular security reports for senior management, highlighting key risks and mitigation efforts.

• A Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Aviation Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in aviation security management.
• In-depth knowledge of aviation security principles, regulations, and best practices.
• Proven experience in conducting security risk assessments and developing security policies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze complex security situations and make sound, timely decisions.
• Experience with security technologies such as CCTV, access control systems, and screening equipment.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects effectively in a remote environment.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., ASIS, ISC2) are highly advantageous.
