Outside Plant Staff

Job Summary:
The Outside Plant staff member is present on fiber optic construction projects to ensure that the fiber cable is being constructed properly and meeting the project requirements. The field staff will coordinate the various activities on the project and also take detailed field records of the installed fiber cable.
Please note:
This is a full-time 100% travel role

Responsibilities and Duties:

• OSP Fiber Planners and Field Inspectors route and determine fiber placement
• Design of OSP plant using both design software as well as GPS equipment
• Reviewing permits and ROW
• Overall supervision and project management
• Inspecting quality and recording field records

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid US Driver’s license (Real ), clean driving record
• Ability to read and understand maps, drawings and diagrams for fiber construction
• Fiber and outside plant knowledge
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
• Ability to perform physical activities related to site visits, including walking, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• May involve occasional lifting, carrying, or transporting equipment as needed.
• Must be able to travel to project sites as required.
• Perform other duties and tasks assigned to support project and organizational needs.
