Our client, a leading manufacturer in high-precision machine tools, has an immediate need for an experienced CNC Service Engineer
, to join our winning team in Fort Wayne.
Our candidate of choice will bring CNC experience along with a strong mechanical / electrical background to learn to install, troubleshoot and repair CNC Swiss Lathes, CNC Lathes and Machining Centers.
This includes Servo and Servo and Spindle Drive Systems, CNC Systems, Electronic/Electrical/PLC Systems, Pneumatic/Hydraulic Systems, Mechanical Systems, Measurement and Adjustment of Machine Tool Geometries. You will be home based or report to the office in Warsaw, Indiana for daily travel and overnight travel to customer locations in Indiana and Michigan. You must have a current driver’s license with good driving record.
Company vehicle will be provided. Experience operating CNC Machine Tools with Fanuc Controls is recommended but not required. Swiss Turning Experience is considered premium.
- Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot and repair CNC machine tools and controls.
- Identify and replace parts as necessary. Test and make adjustments.
- Communicate with the customer to determine and troubleshoot machine problem.
- Ability & desire to work independently.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Complete all required paperwork and/or data entry in a timely manner.
- High school or equivalent
- CNC Machine Tools: 5 years
- Driver’s License
