Job Title: Family Preservation Team Lead

Location: Hybrid - Wellspring Gaylord

Reports to: Family Services FRP Supervisor - Gaylord

Wellspring is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to serving seniors, families, and children throughout Michigan. We are currently seeking a Family Preservation Team Leader to join our Family Reunification Program
, supporting families throughout Northwest Michigan, including Ogemaw, Alcona, Alpena, Iosco, Montmorency, Roscommon, Oscoda, and Presque Isle counties
.

In this role, you will provide leadership, guidance, and clinical oversight to Family Preservation Workers while delivering direct, home-based services to families. You will use a strength-based, solution-focused approach to help families achieve stability, build resilience, and access essential community resources.

Responsibilities
  • Adhere to the Family Reunification Program model of service (strength-based, solution-focused approach).
  • Develop treatment plans, goals, and activities with families and assigned Family Workers.
  • Coordinate the implementation of treatment plans and ensure quality service delivery.
  • Provide therapeutic intervention sessions with families and/or individual family members based on their needs.
  • Deliver skills training in areas such as parental resilience, social connections, concrete support, child development, social and emotional competence, nurturing and attachment, and infant safe sleep.
  • Refer families and make collateral contacts to connect with community resources, including Early On, domestic violence support, and mental health or substance abuse counseling.
  • Prepare and review documentation, including service plans, progress reports, termination summaries, case notes, and time sheets within required time frames.
  • Use solution-focused interviewing techniques and strength-based language in all communication with families.
  • Prepare for and present testimony in court as needed.
  • Plan and develop quarterly workshops and family activities.
  • Maintain face-to-face contact with families according to contract requirements and individual family needs.
  • Provide flexible scheduling and 24/7 availability to support families as needed.
  • Complete follow-up evaluations of families at 6 and 12 months post-service.
  • Transport clients in your own vehicle as needed.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in social work or a related human services field preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related human services field with at least two years of experience working with children and families required.
  • Experience providing therapeutic intervention and family support services preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality service.
  • Current and valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and auto insurance required.
Schedule and Compensation
  • Hybrid-Remote: home-based with travel throughout Ogemaw, Alcona, Alpena, Iosco, Montmorency, Roscommon, Oscoda, and Presque Isle counties.
  • Schedule:

    Flexible schedule, working 40 hours / week, with 24-hour availability as needed.
  • Team meetings and supervision held 1-2 times weekly.
  • Pay Rate: $44,000/year (based on experience and education).
  • Mileage reimbursement for work-related travel.
