Purpose of PositionThis position requires thorough knowledge and understanding of a human rights, strengths-based approach in serving clients. The Housing Case Manager should be familiar with and employ key social work values, including client empowerment, professional boundaries, and self-care, independent decision-making ability, and excellent interpersonal and team-building skills. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Some shifts may include holidays to ensure adequate coverage of the shelter program.
The Housing Case Manager will provide home-based case management services for survivors of human trafficking in scattered site apartments throughout Los Angeles. The primary goal is to assist survivors of human trafficking in addressing barriers to maintaining permanent housing.
Essential DutiesHousing Case Management:
Provide victim-centered, trauma-informed approach to finding safe housing, safety planning, and offering short-term housing assistance as well as supportive services to help survivors transition into and remain permanently housed.
