School Social Worker, LCSW – Remote | E‑Therapy

Location: 100% Remote •
Start Date: ASAP, 2025‑2026 school year •
Hours: Caseload building •
Compensation: Starting at $50/hr (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview

E‑Therapy is a pioneer in delivering high‑quality teletherapy services to schools nationwide. We are seeking a licensed LCSW to provide social‑work services to students, families, and school staff, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral concerns to support overall student well‑being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of students’ mental health, social‑emotional functioning, and behavioral needs in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Provide individual and group counseling services focused on anxiety, depression, trauma, peer relationships, and family conflict.
• Respond to crises within the school setting, including suicide risk assessments, child‑abuse reporting, and emergency mental‑health support.
• Participate in the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 Plans, addressing emotional, behavioral, and social goals.
• Serve as liaison between school personnel, families, and community agencies to coordinate support and access to resources such as mental‑health services, food assistance, or housing.
• Develop and implement school‑wide prevention programs and SEL initiatives to improve school climate and student well‑being.
• Provide consultation to teachers and staff regarding behavioral strategies, trauma‑informed care, and student mental‑health concerns.
• Maintain detailed documentation of assessments, treatment plans, interventions, progress, and referrals in accordance with school policies and confidentiality guidelines.

What You Need

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE‑accredited program.
• NMPED required.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent.
• Experience providing clinical or school‑based social work services to children and adolescents.
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, counseling, and crisis response.
• Knowledge of school systems, child development, and evidence‑based interventions.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including educators, psychologists, and administrators.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with electronic record‑keeping systems; experience with telehealth is a plus.
