Position OverviewWe are seeking qualified Home-Based Therapists to serve children and families referred by the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS). Therapists provide strength-based, trauma-informed clinical services directly in clients’ homes and communities, ensuring safety, stability, and empowerment.
This is a 1099 subcontractor role — not a W-2 position — and ideal for experienced, compassionate professionals who value autonomy, strong support, and meaningful work.

- Provide home-based individual, family, and/or group therapy, including assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions
- Deliver trauma-informed care that addresses emotional, behavioral, and relational needs
- Collaborate with families, DCS, schools, courts, and other service providers
- Complete mental health assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries accurately and on time
- Facilitate family engagement and support reunification and preservation goals
- Maintain professional boundaries while demonstrating cultural sensitivity and respect
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage & family therapy, or related clinical field
- Licensed in Indiana (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, HSPP) OR license-eligible and under required supervision
- At least 1 year of experience providing therapy to children, adolescents, and/or families
- Ongoing weekly supervision required if not independently licensed (agency-supported)
- Knowledge of child abuse/neglect, child development, family dynamics, and community resources
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Ability to pass criminal, BMV, CPS, FBI fingerprint, and state background checks
- Strong clinical documentation, organizational, and time management skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- Experience working with trauma, attachment, or child welfare-involved families
- Familiarity with Indiana’s DCS and child welfare system
