The Doula provides inclusive, in-home visits within a strength-based, family-centered support model to young mothers and fathers who would like support services. The Doula will provide outreach services, prenatal education activities, and assist the family in preparing for childbirth through both home visiting and group-based services. As the Doula, you will advocate for the participant families by providing emotional support, parental education, labor and delivery guidance and post partum care.
ResponsibilitiesThe description previously included outreach and prenatal education activities and family support; these activities are encompassed in the role of providing in-home visits, supporting families, and facilitating group-based services as described above.
Candidate Qualifications- A Bachelor’s Degree in social work or human service, OR Associate's Degree plus completion of Doula certification training, OR Associate's Degree plus two years' relevant social service experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must become SIU Doula Medicaid Certified within 18 months of hire.
- Able to attend in-person family visits and meetings required.
- Proficient in speaking, reading and writing in English and Spanish preferred.
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
- Compensation:
Range starts at $20.19-$22.00/hr; offers are commensurate with experience. Bilingual candidates may receive additional financial compensation. - Benefits:

Hybrid (On site, community based, remote);
Home-based and community-based services provided in the Tazewell and Woodford Counties; home office located at our Bloomington office. - Schedule:
Full-time, hourly; general business hours with some flexibility required for evening visits and attending after-hours births (on-call). - Student Loan Forgiveness:
