Social Worker role at Wayfinder Family Services
. This remote position with co-location in the CDSS Chico and Sacramento offices as needed will provide preventive, supportive, and educational services to post-adoptive families, including short-term interventions based on the individualized needs of the family related to adoption issues. Travel to assigned counties is required for support groups, family events, and/or AAP.

Base pay range: $68,640.00/yr - $73,000.00/yr

• Provide education and information to assist families in understanding the family situation and learning strategies in parenting.
• Assess family needs and assist families with appropriate community linkages, advocacy support, and skill building.
• Brief case management for post adoptive families, brief initial assessment to complete a family support plan.
• Provide families with strategies to assist with increasing attachment in their home and in learning a variety of techniques to respond to challenging behaviors.
• Other duties as outlined in the position description.

• Master s degree in social work or a related field is required.
• Experience working with pre and post adoptive families is preferred.
• Ability to travel to Chico office monthly, as well as various Northern California counties quarterly (Humboldt, Del Norte, Trinity, Siskiyou, Lassen, Modoc, among others).
• Valid CA Driver License with a minimum of two (3) years good driving history and must be approved by the agency’s insurance carrier to drive agency vehicles.
