Do you aspire to work for an Outstanding Local Authority?
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people leaving care? As an EET Coordinator, you'll provide dedicated support to care leavers up to the age of 25, helping them navigate and improve their education, employment and training opportunities. You'll build strong, trusting relationships, offer practical advice, and coordinate services to ensure each young person has the tools and confidence to thrive.
You will be instrumental in identifying trends in young people not engaging in education, employment and training, gaining their feedback and linking with peers from other Local Authorities to source better ways of doing things/best practice. This is a rewarding role where you'll champion their voice, promote positive outcomes, and work collaboratively with families and professionals to create lasting change.
In Telford and Wrekin Children's Services, children and young people are at the heart of all we do. The qualities that are important to them are:
- Understanding that there are layers to a person, a practitioner’s ability to see the person as a 'whole'
- The ability to practice care and kindness
- Being able to really listen to children and young people – what are their views, hopes, aspirations and worries?
- The ability to communicate well
There has never been a more exciting time to join our service: alongside making a difference to the lives of individuals and families, we have adopted exciting new strengths-based approaches and are passionate about delivering continuous service improvement.
What we offer:- Competitive salaries and a fantastic leave package – starting at 24 days, rising to 32 days with service, plus 8 bank holidays and an extra concessionary day to enjoy.
- Flexible working & career progression
- Local Government Pension Scheme
- Staff discounts & salary sacrifice perks
- Free parking & confidential wellbeing support
- Hybrid working model – whether you're in the office or working from home, we support a balance that fits your personal and family commitments.
