Role OverviewWe are hiring a Recruitment & Retention Executive to engage potential trainees, guide them into our programme, and support them through training and early placement.
This role is people-facing and field-based. It requires conviction, clarity, and the ability to work with individuals who may be cautious, sceptical, or have faced repeated setbacks.
This is not an administrative HR role.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment
- Engage potential trainees through referrals from prisons, aftercare partners, and agencies
- Clearly explain the Hawker Boys programme, expectations, and commitment required
- Conduct intake conversations and follow-ups with potential trainees
- Assess readiness and fit in collaboration with the programme team
Retention & Engagement
- Maintain regular contact with trainees during training and early placement
- Track attendance, engagement, and early warning signs of dropout
- Encourage accountability and consistency while working closely with aftercare partners
- Escalate issues early and coordinate support where needed
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with training partners, aftercare agencies, and referral partners
- Represent Hawker Boys clearly and accurately to external stakeholders
- Ensure consistent programme messaging and expectations
- Comfortable working with ex-offenders and vulnerable individuals
- Strong communication and people skills
- Able to persuade, motivate, and hold firm boundaries
- Organised, reliable, and consistent with follow-ups
- Experience in sales, recruitment, outreach, or people management is an advantage
- Education level is not a priority
- Not a counseling role
- Not a purely administrative role
- Not a work-from-home position
S $2,500 – S $3,200 per month (Commensurate with experience, with progression opportunities)
