IPS Employment Specialist - Connect to Work
Location:
Wolverhampton - Community-based role with some remote working
Contract:
Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday)
Salary:
Up to £35,400 per annum (dependent on experience)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated IPS Employment Specialist to deliver the IPS Connect to Work programme in Wolverhampton. The post holder will support individuals to gain and sustain competitive employment, working closely with health and community partners to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based IPS interventions.
You will build strong, integrated relationships with local services, employers, and stakeholders, adopting a holistic and person‑centred approach that supports recovery and long‑term employment outcomes. This is a community‑based role, with the majority of time spent working alongside local partner services.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver the IPS Connect to Work model in line with fidelity standards, contractual requirements, and agreed performance targets.
Manage a reduced caseload of clients, supporting individuals who are motivated to start or return to work.
Work collaboratively with partner services and multidisciplinary teams, attending regular meetings as an embedded IPS practitioner.
Support clients to identify their skills, aspirations, and employment goals by completing vocational profiles and tailored action plans.
Provide practical employment support including job search activity, CV writing, application forms, interview preparation, and in‑work support.
Build and maintain positive relationships with local employers to source suitable job opportunities aligned to client preferences.
Assess and respond to employment‑related support needs, including benefits advice, workplace adjustments, and disclosure guidance.
Maintain accurate records and performance data in line with programme and organisational requirements.
Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of service delivery
