Overview
Apricus Resourcing are currently looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable Full Time Community Children In Care Team Specialist Senior Registered Social Worker Band 5-6 (QSW) for a well-respected Specialist Non-Public Social Service to work in the B6 post code area of Birmingham in the West Midlands, who is really passionate about providing a personal service.
This role is available as full or part time, with up to 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm). There is a minimum of 2 days in the office per week, with the remainder of the work week conducted remotely in a hybrid model. This is a fixed term contract, minimum 3 months up to 12 months. Any mileage/travel expenses incurred while on shift will be compensated.
Responsibilities- You will play a crucial role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- You will assist our social workers to support Children in Care alongside those children and families who are subject to live care proceedings.
- You will assist with the completion of statutory assessments, supervise family time, and advise children and their families about available help and support.
- You will obtain and record all relevant information, taking appropriate action where necessary, and provide practical day-to-day support, which may include home visits and direct work within the family home or community.
- Additionally, you will work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to assess needs, develop care plans, and provide ongoing support.
We are seeking candidates with extensive experience in working with vulnerable children, young people, and their families in a support/advisory role. Knowledge of safeguarding and Children’s services processes and legislation is required.
CompensationThe role offers a competitive rate of pay of £29.51 per hour
, with potential increases depending on experience as determined by interview.
