The Disabled Children and Young People’s Early Help Team supports children and young people aged 0–18 years old with significant needs arising from their disability. The team aims to ensure that disabled children and their families have access to a needs-led service that promotes resilience, co‑production and improves children’s life chances.
About YouThe Deputy Team Manager will lead the team in providing high‑quality service, including oversight of children’s planning from referral, offering advice and support at the earliest opportunity, signing off and agreeing EHCP contributions, and making decisions to complete single assessments with families in line with eligibility criteria. You will also supervise and support front‑door staff and undertake statutory social worker tasks.
Qualifications:
- Social Work England registration
- Driving licence and willingness to drive
- DBS clearance (Enhanced Adults & Children’s)
- Completed ASYE year (if qualified after 2012)
- Completed Senior Social Worker progression pathway
