We have a diverse range of employees and volunteers from different backgrounds. Prior or current experience working with vulnerable people is beneficial but we are more focused on recruiting based on values and the passion to make a difference.
Key Details- Hours of Work: 37 hours per week, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday
- Location: Home based with travel around the London area; flexible commute may be required and will be covered within our mileage rate.
- Salary: £26,743.64 per annum (starting)
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Provide high‑quality instructed and non‑instructed advocacy according to client needs and relevant services
- Act on behalf of clients at all times, following their instructions and representing their wishes, feelings, beliefs and values in a manner consistent with law, guidance and best practice
- Elicit effective, outcome‑focused case management, ensuring all casework demonstrates planning, action and review with relevant recording
- Prepare high‑quality written reports as part of statutory advocacy roles
- Escalate concerns or complaints professionally to relevant public bodies as instructed by clients or when appropriate
- Strong communication and time‑management skills to successfully work remotely
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, and the ability to learn client‑management databases
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate recording of records and reporting to meet tight deadlines
- Previous experience in advocacy, information and advice, or a similar role within health, social care or the voluntary sector
- Demonstrable experience working with vulnerable adults
- Working knowledge of public and voluntary organisations
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising to 30 days after 5 years’ service); option to buy or sell up to 5 days
- Birthday off as an additional holiday day after 1 year’s service
- Discretionary shutdown days at Christmas with up to 4 additional days leave
- 1 Community Leave Day per annum
