Devon County Council is seeking an experienced Children's Social Worker with strong written skills to provide high-quality administrative and professional support within the Assessment & Intervention service.
This is a non-case holding role, focused on completing essential written tasks to ensure children's records are accurate, clear, and up to date. The role is ideal for a highly organised practitioner who can work at pace and bring clarity and structure to busy duty environments.
Key Responsibilities- Completing duty forms and responding to priority requests
- Updating and maintaining case records
- Producing chronologies, case summaries, and other key written documentation
- Supporting teams with timely and accurate recording during periods of high demand
You will be supported by a Duty Manager, who will coordinate and guide your workload to ensure priorities are managed effectively.
About You- Qualified Social Worker with experience in Children's Services
- Strong written communication and recording skills
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and confident working independently
- Able to work efficiently in fast-moving situations
- Remote working will be considered due to the nature of the role
- An accommodation/commuter allowance of £150 per week is available for eligible candidates
