OverviewAn excellent opportunity for the post of Team Leader Community Housing has arisen in our Tranent Area Housing Team. We're looking for an enthusiastic customer‑focussed person to lead the team and contribute to providing an excellent landlord service to our tenants.
Home / Hybrid Working ConsiderationApplications for home or hybrid working will be considered in accordance with East Lothian Council's Home Working and Worksmart Policies. Home or hybrid working options can be discussed with candidates invited for interview.
All home/hybrid workers must live in the UK. Where an application for home‑working is supported, it will be subject to a satisfactory trial period. Employees will be expected to attend Council offices for the duration of induction and be on site in East Lothian workplaces, as required. Employees with a hybrid working arrangement will be office based and able to work from home, with permission, on an ad‑hoc basis.

As part of the wider Community Housing Service, to lead on the local delivery of front line housing management services and housing advice to tenants, tenant/resident groups or their representatives and manage a team of Community Housing Officers for a designated area, in accordance with Council's legal and statutory obligations, policies and plans with a commitment to achieve best value.

Qualifications:
Educated to HND in Housing or Level 4 Diploma, HomePoint Accreditation Level 2 and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through previous experience. - Driving Licence: Must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle. (If a disability precludes obtaining a licence, reasonable adjustments will be considered.)
- Level 1 Disclosure Clearance: Required to allow access to the Public Sector Network. ELC will submit a Police Act Disclosure application on behalf of the preferred candidate; receipt of the certificate will be required prior to commencement.
- Additional Clearance: If you have spent more than 3 months working or living outside the UK in the last 5 years, you will also need to present a copy of an overseas criminal record check. Details can be found on the website.
