Job Title:
Resettlement Caseworker

To provide intensive, person-centred support to refugee families resettling in Flintshire. The role involves helping individuals and families access housing, benefits, healthcare, and community services, ensuring they can integrate and live independently in the UK in line with Home Office and Government requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of refugee families, providing ongoing, holistic support with housing, welfare, financial, and social needs
  • Conduct pre-arrival and arrival arrangements, ensuring families are prepared and supported during relocation
  • Support access to services such as benefits, healthcare, education, and housing, including completing applications and paperwork
  • Act as a key point of contact for vulnerable individuals, building trusted relationships over time
  • Liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies to coordinate support packages for service users
  • Use interpreters and translation services where required
  • Maintain accurate case records, reports, and monitoring data in line with GDPR and service requirements
  • Provide information and guidance to support integration into UK society and transition into independent living
  • Attend multi-agency meetings and work closely with partner organisations
  • Stay updated on relevant legislation, policies, and service changes
Requirements
  • Experience supporting vulnerable people (e.g. refugees, housing, benefits, or social care)
  • Strong knowledge of UK benefits, housing systems, and support services
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and prioritise workload
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ICT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with partner agencies
