The Role

If you’re an experienced Learning Disability social worker looking for a role where your professional judgement is trusted and your expertise is valued, this could be the opportunity for you.

You’ll work with adults with a learning disability and their carers to complete Care Act assessments, develop strengths‑based support plans, and review outcomes that genuinely improve people’s lives. You’ll bring confident decision‑making to complex casework, including mental capacity assessments, Court of Protection work, safeguarding, and multi‑agency working. You’ll be part of a supportive, skilled service where reflective practice and proportionate, person‑centred approaches are embedded into everyday work.

Join Us?

This is a role where you can really develop your learning disability practice. You’ll have opportunities to work on complex and rewarding cases, contribute to service improvement, and shape how we deliver high‑quality social work across Worcestershire. We offer regular supervision, learning and development opportunities, and a hybrid way of working that balances time in the office with working from home, supporting both professional growth and work‑life balance.

About

You’ll be joining a welcoming and experienced Learning Disability service, split into North and South teams covering the whole of Worcestershire. We work closely with health colleagues, the voluntary sector and partner agencies as part of multi‑disciplinary teams, ensuring people receive coordinated, holistic support.
