Family Solutions Practitioner

Scale 6 - full time - 37 hours per week

12 month fixed contract

The Family Solutions Practitioner will hold a mixed caseload of children requiring a targeted short‑term intensive intervention who are identified as Edge of Care, and children who are to be supported to reunify to their family network or to step down from their current care arrangement.

The role requires excellent partnership working experience, the ability to risk assess and prioritise competing needs within a fast‑paced service. Our commitment is to ensuring family‑led decision making is embedded at the heart of our practice and for as many children as possible to remain safely in the care of their family through collaborative partnerships and by offering the right service at the right time.

• Understanding that there are layers to a person, a practitioner’s ability to see the person as a ‘whole’.
• The ability to practice care and kindness.
• Being able to really listen to children, young people and families – what are their views, hopes, aspirations and worries?
• The ability to communicate well.
