Children's Social Worker

Join the dedicated team at Blackburn with Darwen Children’s Services, recently graded ‘good’ in its ILACS Ofsted inspection. We are seeking two full-time agency Social Workers for our Family Help service. This role involves carrying out single assessments and managing complex Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) cases. Day-to-day of the role:
Conduct thorough single assessments as part of the Family Help service. Manage a caseload of complex CIN and CP cases, ensuring all service standards are met. Work flexibly with a combination of office-based and home working arrangements; minimum three days per week in the office. Collaborate effectively with team members and other professionals to provide high-quality service. Utilise the Liquid Logic Children's system for case management, with previous experience in this system being an advantage.

Required Skills &

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in assessment and/or longer-term safeguarding/CP work. Must hold a current SWE registration. Must be a car driver. Proficient in using the Liquid Logic Children's system (preferred). Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage a caseload effectively and work flexibly according to service requirements.
