Position: Counsellor for Youth and Families
Become a Counsellor with Associated Youth Services of Peel, specializing in family support through the Family Connections program. Deliver personalized counselling that strengthens family networks and promotes resilience.

This role requires a dedicated professional to offer 8-10 weeks of home-based or virtual counselling to children and families facing diverse challenges. You’ll work collaboratively to create tailored intervention plans and engage in crisis management, ensuring each family receives the support they need. Flexibility in hours is essential to accommodate clients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct evidence-based counselling for families in crisis

• Create strength-based intervention and service plans

• Provide parenting support tailored to individual needs

• Maintain professional documentation and case notes

• Collaborate with community service providers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Counselling

• Minimum 2 years clinical experience working with families

• Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills

• Valid Ontario Driver's License and transportation

• Fluency in French is a plus
