Job SummaryThe Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services (YFPS) provides mandated inpatient and outpatient mental health assessment and treatment services to youth involved with the justice system across British Columbia. As Regional Manager for the North, you will provide regional oversight of Court‑ordered and Court‑related mental health assessment and treatment services, working with multidisciplinary teams across outpatient, inpatient and custody settings to support youth with complex mental health, substance use and offending behavior needs.
ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic direction and operational oversight to ensure high‑quality service delivery across the region.
Lead and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams in outpatient, inpatient and custody settings.
Develop and manage programs, budgets and resources to meet service and performance objectives.
Advise on policy, program design and client‑centered approaches within a forensic context.
Qualifications – Required- Master’s degree in social work (clinical specialty or equivalent), educational counselling, clinical psychology, child and youth care or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of post‑degree clinical experience providing adolescent outpatient mental health assessment and treatment services.
- Three (3) years of recent supervisory experience (within last five years) involving program coordination or program management.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s licence with no restriction or equivalent licence from another Canadian province.
- Current Criminal Record Check and Criminal Record Review Act Check.
- Located in British Columbia at the time of employment.
- Recent experience working in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings.
- Recent experience working in a forensic psychiatric facility.
- Experience leading regional or multi‑site operations within a mental health or forensic context.
Hybrid work options up to two days per week when approved through a telework agreement.
Temporary position until July 30, 2027, with potential extension or conversion to permanent.
Board and lodging and relocation expenses do not apply.
