** Founded in 1997, Gam Care is the leading provider of information, advice and support for anyone affected by gambling harms. We operate the National Gambling Helpline, provide treatment for anyone who is harmed by gambling, create awareness about safer gambling and treatment, and encourage an effective approach to safer gambling within the gambling industry.
** The Role
** This is an exciting time to join Gam Care as we continue to develop and expand our treatment services. We are looking for Gambling Support Practitioners with qualifications or experience in health or social care or similar roles, and an empathic style to enable people to change their behaviour through skilled interventions. As a Gambling Support Practitioner, you will deliver safe, effective and person-centred psychosocial interventions to adults experiencing gambling-related harm.

You will work within Gam Care’s Model of Care, supporting individuals through assessment, formulation and recovery planning, and delivering structured and brief interventions tailored to individual need.  You will manage a caseload, supporting service users at different stages of recovery by delivering interventions through face-to-face and remote formats, ensuring accessibility and continuity of care.  The role requires you to work within defined governance, safeguarding and quality frameworks, using professional judgement to manage risk and complexity, and escalating concerns through appropriate supervision and internal processes.  

You will also contribute to a multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to support coordinated, person-centred care pathways.
** About you
** We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting people to make meaningful and sustained changes in their lives and who have experience of working with individuals in health, social care or a similar setting, confidently delivering interventions to support behavioural change, using a range of low and high-intensity interventions and modalities including Cognitive Behavioural (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing tools.

The successful candidate would live within the region due to expectations of in-person service delivery when required.

** Provide psychosocial interventions, carry out assessments, develop recovery plans, and monitor service user progress.
* ** Manage risk and safeguarding
** Identify and respond to risk, implement safeguarding processes, and escalate concerns appropriately.
* ** Support engagement and recovery outcomes
** Build relationships, support behaviour change, and help service users achieve and sustain recovery goals.
* ** Maintain high-quality records and data
** Keep accurate, audit-ready case records and contribute to data collection and quality assurance processes.
* ** Work collaboratively across services
** Liaise with internal teams and external partners to deliver coordinated, person-centred care.
* ** Maintain professional standards and development
** Engage in supervision, follow policies and governance frameworks, and continue professional development.
