About the service
The Aspirations Supported Housing Service provides high-quality supported accommodation for young people transitioning from care. Delivered across shared houses, the service helps young people build the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to live independently and thrive.
About the RoleIn this varied and meaningful role, you will support young people living in shared accommodation to develop independent living skills. You will provide practical and emotional support to help sustain tenancies, as well as assist individuals in accessing employment, education, or training opportunities. The role also involves supporting young people with benefit claims and day-to-day life management. You will deliver one-to-one key work sessions and facilitate group activities, while contributing to assessments, support plans, and referrals to other services.
In addition, you will work closely with Personal Advisors and partner agencies and ensure that housing properties are well maintained, with any issues reported promptly.
- Passionate about supporting young people to achieve their potential
- Experienced in supported housing or working with young people with complex needs
- Skilled in building positive, professional relationships
- A confident communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Able to assess risk and manage support needs effectively
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Organised, resilient, and able to manage a busy workload
- IT literate with good written and numerical skills
- Willing to work in young people's homes and provide practical support when needed
- Able to travel between properties (full driving licence preferred)
The majority of time will be on site in the houses or at office for team meetings etc. There will be occasional home working with managers agreement.
