About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join our city-wide Adults Safeguarding Team at Birmingham City Council. This role focuses on meeting the Local Authority’s statutory responsibility to provide a person‑centred approach to protecting vulnerable citizens.

• To meet Adult Social Care’s statutory responsibilities as detailed in Section 42 of the Care Act.
• To respond to safeguarding concerns, conduct safeguarding enquiries and formulate safeguarding plans as required.
• To work closely with citizens, carers, colleagues and partner agencies in line with the principles of Making Safeguarding Personal.
• To ensure compliance with legal requirements, policies, and safeguarding procedures.
• To maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continual service improvement.

• Qualified Social Work England registration.
• Experience delivering social work services to vulnerable adults.
• Experience of adult safeguarding is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of key legislation guiding social work and social care.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, and continual professional development.
