Help stop youth violence before it starts with TNG’s E-VIBE program as a part-time E-Mediator. Focus on social media strategies to detect and de-escalate potential incidents.
This contract role within Children & Youth Services emphasizes proactive online violence interruption and requires your insight into community dynamics and youth behavior. You will facilitate workshops, engage with social media trends, and employ your experiential knowledge to assist vulnerable youth while reporting your findings to enhance the program's effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in E-VIBE mandatory training sessions
• Track and identify online aggression and bullying
• Monitor social media trends indicating potential violence
• Create tailored intervention summaries based on findings
• Attend community sessions to facilitate learning workshops
Requirements:
• Comprehensive understanding of social media landscape
• Lived experience with community violence
• Strong anti-black racism perspective
• Knowledge of GTA social service landscape
• Effective leadership and networking skills
