Therapeutic Youth Case Worker Position

Location: Central Yukon (Dawson City)

Become a Therapeutic Youth Case Worker in Whitehorse and support children facing trauma with Transitional Support Services. Offer critical guidance and care to at-risk youth in various environments.

This essential role encompasses the supervision of front-line staff and direct therapeutic support for children exhibiting challenging behaviors. You will develop and assess therapeutic care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The position involves working with families and understanding the impacts of trauma.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of front line care staff

• Create and execute therapeutic plans for youth

• Foster relationships with families for supportive engagement

• Work closely with a diverse range of cultures

• Focus on community and home-based support

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Social Work

• Proven experience in trauma-informed care

• Knowledge of effects of abuse on youth

• Excellent writing and interpersonal skills

• Current Yukon Class 5 driver’s license required
