SALARY: £30,240 per annum (pro rata) + Benefits

JOB TYPE:
Full-Time, Fixed Term Contract to 13th January 2027 (possible extension)

LOCATION:

Hybrid working with both site-based and remote work covering the Kent Region

WORKING HOURS:

37 Hours per Week, Monday to Friday, including one evening session

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Behaviour Change Practitioner to join a dedicated team helping individuals make meaningful and lasting changes to harmful behaviours.

As a Behaviour Change Practitioner you will deliver evidence-based one-to-one and group interventions using CBT and DBT-informed approaches, working closely with criminal justice, safeguarding and partner agencies to promote safer outcomes.

The successful Behaviour Change Practitioner will build positive relationships whilst maintaining professional boundaries, balancing empathy with accountability to support meaningful behavioural change.

DUTIES
  • Conduct Assessments:
    Complete assessments, inductions and personalised intervention planning
  • Deliver Interventions:
    Facilitate CBT and DBT-informed one-to-one and group programmes across community and custodial settings
  • Support Behaviour Change:
    Encourage participants to recognise and address harmful attitudes and behaviours
  • Manage Caseloads:
    Maintain accurate records, reports and case documentation
  • Work with Partners:
    Liaise with police, probation, prisons, safeguarding services and other agencies
  • Contribute to

    Risk Management:

    Participate in MASH, MAPPA and other multi-agency processes where appropriate
  • Maintain Professional Standards:
    Attend clinical supervision, management supervision and ongoing professional development
  • Promote Positive Outcomes:
    Safely manage challenging situations whilst maintaining professional boundaries
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Essential
  • Previous experience working within safeguarding or risk management frameworks
  • Experience managing competing priorities and maintaining an organised workload
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish rapport while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Good administration, record-keeping and digital communication skills
  • Experience providing support both face-to-face and remotely
Desirable
  • Counselling, Psychology, Probation or a related qualification
  • Understanding or experience of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy
  • Experience contributing to MASH, MAPPA or similar meetings
  • Experience delivering interventions within criminal justice, social care or domestic abuse services
  • Understanding of the psychological and social factors associated with harmful behaviours
