What you will do
  • Take on operational and financial responsibility for designated elements of the service, providing leadership and management support to the staff.
  • Ensure children's needs are assessed holistically and in a timely manner, providing appropriate services to meet those needs.
  • Lead a team of Social Workers in an intervention team involving Child Protection, Children in Need, and Court Work.
  • Manage a professional, child‑centred service, ensuring adherence to regulations and legislation.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver services in a family setting aligned with children's best interests.
  • Tackle complex issues creatively, ensuring service delivery within budgets.
  • Develop specialist knowledge and act as a resource in your field.
  • Work closely with senior management in operational and strategic developments, contributing to the overall service management.
  • Handle case responsibilities from assessment to closure, ensuring awareness of developments in each case.
  • Prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children, making crucial decisions regarding their immediate safety.
