Social Worker within the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team in Slough, earning £38.00 per hour. This ongoing full-time locum opportunity offers a hybrid working model with three days in the office and two days remote. This is a fast-paced and impactful role at the frontline of children’s services, where you will play a critical part in identifying safeguarding risks and ensuring timely interventions for children and families.

What you will do
  • Safeguarding: Promote and protect the welfare of children, ensuring early identification of risks.
  • Case Management: Manage your own caseload, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice.
  • Assessment: Conduct robust assessments and implement targeted interventions for complex cases.
  • Report Writing: Prepare detailed and accurate reports, care plans, and documentation.
  • Multi-Agency Working: Collaborate with police, health, education, and partner agencies to deliver coordinated services.
  • Referral Handling: Process referrals and support effective decision-making within the MASH framework.
  • Case Transfers: Facilitate smooth transitions to appropriate teams and services.
  • Relationship Building: Engage with children and families to ensure their voices are heard and respected.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in audits, supervision, and CPD to maintain high practice standards.
