Creative Producer Inspire Youth Arts

The Inspire Youth Arts (IYA) team delivers a range of inclusive music, dance and digital projects for 11‑25 year olds. Based at The Old Library in Mansfield and working across Nottinghamshire, we engage over 1,500 young people each year. Our programme is an exciting mix of:

• Regular weekly sessions
• One‑off workshops, projects and intensives
• Events and performance showcases
• Installations
• Mentoring, career and industry focused pathways

We are seeking a Creative Producer to support our delivery of arts and cultural opportunities for young people. The successful candidate will work alongside an experienced team of producers, developing our offer for young people and ensuring access to high‑quality experiences. The postholder will work dynamically with a range of partners, artists, stakeholders and funders. Working across several arts forms, we are seeking candidates with specialisms in music, dance and/or digital arts.

We are looking for individuals with experience in the cultural or creative sectors, who have a strong understanding of events programming and management. A flexible, proactive and enthusiastic approach to teamwork, and excellent project management and communication skills are required. Excellent time management and organisational skills are also essential.

Working 22.2 hours per week, including some weekend and evening work, the postholder will be based at The Old Library in Mansfield with home working supported. Working days and patterns can be negotiated, except for Tuesdays, which must be in‑person. The ability to travel across the county by your own means is essential.

• Deliver the Inspire Youth Arts offer as required by the Youth Arts Manager, ensuring access to high‑quality cultural experiences.
• Lead service delivery and develop and manage projects throughout the county, delivering best practice and innovative services.
• Plan and coordinate the deployment of people and resources to meet service needs.
• Support and deliver the Inspire Youth Arts Service Plan to meet agreed performance targets.
• Ensure the programme is delivered professionally, working positively with staff, artists and partners, reporting as required and promoting the work of Inspire Youth Arts to existing, new and potential customers.
• Train, induct and support freelance artists, staff, volunteers and participants to perform their roles where appropriate.
• Work flexibly across Nottinghamshire under the direction of the Principal Arts Officer and Youth Arts Manager to meet business needs and customer demand.
• Ensure young people are safeguarded in all youth arts settings and projects and that safeguarding policy and procedures are followed.
• Work in accordance with all Inspire policies and procedures, Inspire Brand guidelines, contractual requirements and professional best practice.
• Perform any duties or tasks assigned by management required to meet service needs.

• A nationally recognised arts qualification and/or relevant industry experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of the participatory arts sector locally, regionally and nationally.
• Knowledge of music, dance or digital art.
