City of Bristol College offers a dynamic learning environment and a people‑first culture. We are looking for a Student Services Officer to support our students and staff across the college community.
ResponsibilitiesThis role involves providing accurate and timely information, advice and guidance (IAG) to enquiries from students, potential students and all stakeholders, whether in person, by telephone, or electronically. You will ensure that they receive appropriate information to access relevant learning opportunities.
Support a seamless transition from application to enrolment, ensuring the efficient processing of student applications within established timelines. Additionally, coordinate and arrange Course Information Meetings or induction events as required, ensuring all necessary steps are completed to prepare students for their studies.
Provide a welcoming front‑of‑house reception service for students, staff, and visitors, and efficiently deliver key Student Services tasks, promoting the department as a one‑stop shop for student support and referring to specialist services when needed.
Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of funding and residency policies to provide reliable guidance and meet audit requirements. Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills are essential.
This role is fully campus‑based and not suitable for hybrid or remote working. A requirement to provide in‑person support to students, visitors, and staff ensures a visible, responsive, and high‑quality front‑line service at all times.
