Responsibilities- Provide accurate and timely information, advice and guidance (IAG) to enquiries from students, potential students and all stakeholders, whether in person, by telephone or electronically.
- Ensure students receive appropriate information to access relevant learning opportunities and support a seamless transition from application to enrollment.
- Process student applications within established timelines and coordinate/arrange Course Information Meetings or induction events as required, ensuring all necessary steps are completed to prepare students for their studies.
- Provide a welcoming front‑of‑house reception service for students, staff and visitors and efficiently deliver key Student Services tasks, promoting the department as a one‑stop shop for student support and referring to specialist services when needed.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of funding and residency policies to provide reliable guidance and meet audit requirements.
- Ensure a visible, responsive and high‑quality front‑line service at all times – this role is fully campus‑based and is not suitable for hybrid or remote working.
- Excellent communication, time‑management and organisational skills are essential.
- Two‑week paid Christmas close down and additional paid time off over Easter, in addition to a generous holiday entitlement of 26 holiday days plus bank holidays (pro‑rata for part‑time roles).
- Membership to the Local Government Pension Scheme with employer contributions of 18.0%.
- Paid volunteering leave (3 days a year).
