We're looking for a confident, motivated and proactive community-minded Housing Officer to join our team working across Herefordshire.

You will work 35 hours per week, taking ownership of a varied caseload and delivering a service that truly puts customers first.

• Build strong relationships with tenants and local communities
• Manage anti-social behaviour cases and work with partner agencies to reach solutions
• Support tenants with income collection and rent arrears
• Oversee all aspects of tenancy and estate management
• Ensure properties meet and maintain high standards
• Work closely with colleagues across Connexus to deliver real outcomes
• Travel extensively across Herefordshire (mileage reimbursed from your designated base in Hereford)

• Experience in the Social Housing Sector
• Knowledgeable about landlord and tenant law
• Confident handling ASB cases
• Skilled in income recovery and arrears procedures
• Empathetic and professional when supporting vulnerable tenants, with knowledge of safeguarding
• Resilient and calm under pressure
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
• Strong administrative ability
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Suitable for hybrid working: a combination of home working and working from our satellite office in Hereford, with occasional travel to the Head office in The Gateway, Craven Arms, Shropshire and to other offices as required.
