Position: Remote Family Physician for Addiction Care
Location: New Westminster

Become a key part of the Northern Health Virtual Substance Use Stream as a Family Physician focusing on addiction treatment and support. Utilize virtual platforms to connect empathetically with patients requiring substance-use care.

In this role, prescribers will deliver culturally safe and trauma-informed services while engaging in virtual Opioid Agonist Therapy and Pharmaceutical Alternatives. You’ll collaborate closely with the Northern Health Virtual Primary & Community Care Clinic and work to facilitate connections to local resources. This position allows for flexible, remote work opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct virtual consultations for therapy and assessment

• Prescribe appropriate treatments for substance use

• Ensure timely connections to community support resources

• Foster collaboration with healthcare partners

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care

Requirements:

• Experience in addiction medicine or similar fields

• Proficient in virtual healthcare technology
