Overview
To work as part of a multi‑agency team of staff to provide an integrated approach to the delivery of services that achieves the principal aim of the Youth Justice Service, this is to prevent offending by Children. To work within the requirements of the Youth Justice Board National Standards and all relevant legislation, through direct contact with children and their families to deliver oversight, supervision and support across a range of statutory and voluntary provisions.

RoleYou are applying for a one‑year fixed‑term Youth Justice Case Manager post within Cheshire Youth Justice Service, working primarily in the Warrington area but with possible work across Cheshire West, Cheshire East, Halton and Warrington.
The Youth Justice Case Manager role aims to support children involved in the criminal justice system, working collaboratively with key agencies to divert children away from offending and prevent re‑offending. The candidate should bring knowledge of holistic assessment, relationship‑based and trauma‑informed interventions, and a strengths‑based approach to achieve positive outcomes.
Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of children between the ages of - who are subject to a range of out‑of‑court and statutory court disposals.
- Complete assessments, develop intervention plans and deliver interventions that support desistance.
- Work collaboratively with a range of agencies to implement integrated support.
- Apply risk management, public safety and safeguarding principles within the role.
- Work flexibly across the Cheshire footprint, including evenings and weekends, and utilise remote technology platforms for collaboration.
- Relevant degree in a related field.
- Willingness to complete the Youth Justice Effective Practice Certificate (YJEPC).
- Experience in working with children and families and an understanding of the complex issues affecting them.
- Demonstrated risk management, public safety and safeguarding skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
