Leaders in Care are currently supporting a highly regarded private neurodevelopmental clinic in the West Midlands for an experienced Autism Assessment Clinician to join their growing team as an ASD Assessor on a permanent basis, offering a great salary of up to £60,000 / year (depending on experience).

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled clinician to deliver high-quality autism assessments for children and young people, supporting families through the diagnostic process and contributing to evidence‑based outcomes. The role offers a hybrid working pattern, combining face‑to‑face assessments with remote working.

Key responsibilities
  • Deliver CYP autism assessments in line with NICE guidance, service standards and clinical pathways.
  • Gather and integrate information from multiple sources, including families, education settings and clinical records.
  • Complete developmental histories, assess functional impact and consider differential presentations.
  • Coordinate assessment activity and support families throughout the assessment process where required.
  • Contribute to MDT discussions and diagnostic decision‑making in line with recognised diagnostic criteria.
  • Identify co‑occurring needs, risks and safeguarding concerns, escalating appropriately.
  • Produce clear, high‑quality autism assessment reports within agreed timescales.
  • Provide sensitive feedback to families and communicate outcomes appropriately.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced clinician to join a supportive service focused on delivering high‑quality, neurodiversity‑affirming assessments for children, young people and their families.

Qualifications
  • 6‑12+ months’ experience completing autism assessments for children and young people.

If you are an experienced clinician with the above qualifications, we would love to hear from you. For more information or to apply, please contact Chris on (phone number removed) or email (email address removed).
