The Role:
You'll manage your own caseload of anti-social behaviour, nuisance and hate crime cases, working with customers and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes and create safer communities.
This is a hybrid role, combining home working, office attendance and community visits across Devon. You'll manage your own diary, planning customer visits, investigations and meetings effectively.
Key Responsibilities of an ASB Officer:
- Manage a caseload of ASB, nuisance and hate crime cases from report through to resolution.
- Investigate complaints, gather evidence and identify appropriate actions.
- Support customers affected by ASB and maintain regular communication throughout cases.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, police, local authorities, legal teams and external agencies.
- Maintain accurate case records, reports and documentation.
- Attend customer visits, meetings and case reviews across Devon.
- Support legal action where required and ensure cases are progressed effectively.
- Contribute to creating safe, inclusive and sustainable communities.
- Experience dealing with anti-social behaviour, challenging situations, investigations or conflict resolution.
- Background in housing, policing, community safety, enforcement or another transferable customer-facing role.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and partner agencies.
- Ability to manage your own workload, prioritise effectively and work independently.
- Good IT skills and attention to detail when maintaining case records.
- A willingness to learn and develop, with training provided.
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Flexibility to travel across Devon for customer visits and meetings.
- Salary of 32,000- 40,000 per annum.
