Make an impactful difference as a Beltline Outreach Worker with Alpha House, working hybrid hours from 4 PM to midnight. Provide empathetic support and engage with vulnerable communities needing assistance.
This full-time, permanent role involves driving agency vans, conducting outreach sweeps, and engaging with individuals facing addiction and homelessness. Candidates must exhibit strong case management skills, crisis management expertise, and a compassionate nature. Collaborate with key partners, advocate for clients, and follow ethical protocols while facilitating educational sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide non-judgmental support to clients in crisis
• Conduct sweeps in encampments and hidden areas
• Drive clients safely in agency vehicles
• Collaborate with partner agencies for client advocacy
• Complete housing assessments and maintain professional conduct
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Social Sciences or Health Sciences
• Knowledge of addiction and mental health support
• Class 5 Non-GDL driver license with clean Abstract
• Experience in crisis management and outreach
• Ability to complete Privacy Training and physical tasks
